Happy Sunday here at Trash Panda Puzzles! As the year winds down, I’ve been doing a bit of reflecting, not just on the past year, but on life in general. Somewhere in that swirl of thoughts, opinions, and memories, I found myself thinking back to 2021, when Malaika Handa ran the 7x Crossword Project. It showcased a wide range of indie constructors, and I was lucky enough to be among them.
Over the years, I’ve kicked around the idea of reviving my Teeny Tuesday series, and also of challenging myself to construct every “legal” variation of the 7x grid. While I’m not committing to Tuesdays this time around, I am committing to giving the idea a real shot, so consider this an announcement of a new crossword series in the works.
Today’s 7x isn’t my first puzzle at this size, of course. But for the purposes of this project, any 7x crosswords constructed before now, (or for other sites/platforms) won’t count toward my tracker. From here on out, I'm starting fresh!
